Hi, I'm Tania

I work as a freelance journalist, and I live in Santiago, Chile. I have a BSc in Hispanic Literature and Linguistics and a Master Degree in Written Journalism from the Universidad Católica de Chile.

I spent several years working at Tendencias, the Saturday magazine of the newspaper La Tercera. I also worked in Publimetro and was a contributor writer in the newspaper La Hora and Paula Magazine.

I cover a broad spectrum of topics related to science, health, environment, and education. Along with this, I'm especially interested in reporting stories related to childhood, mental health, diversity, and human rights.

I keep writing for La Tercera and Paula, both places where I develop most of my journalistic work today. Right now, I'm transitioning from print to digital journalism. My first significant work in this area is "Transition," a feature about transgender people that you can read here.
